Growing up, photographs have always been a treasure to my family. I love looking at old pictures of my parents and hearing all about how they met. Boyyy, was my dad determined to win my mom’s heart.

There are far and few between photos of them under the age of 20 — something we take for granted in present day with a camera in the palm of our hands 24/7. With the handful of photos, I can better understand the context of their stories back in those times.

This is why I feel as though little everyday moments are just important as the big victories that we celebrate in life. What should that mean to you? Personally, I do not believe that you need a “special occasion” for portraits. Every day is a special occasion and sometimes that is something we take for granted — so why not?

I firmly believe that you do not need a special occasion to celebrate with photographs, because every. single. day. is a blessing and a reason to celebrate. Have you ever heard the saying, “Why save champagne for a special occasion when today is a special occasion?” Well today, we’re popping bubbly! So whether it’s to celebrate your body with a boudoir session, to love on your fur babies (because they’re family too) or anything else in between — don't hesitate!
