BECAUSE every stage

DESERVES TO BE

REMEMBERED.

There’s beauty in the in-between — the giggles, the missing teeth, the messy hair, and the tight hugs that only last a moment before they wriggle away. Family sessions are about freezing those fleeting seasons of connection, laughter, and love.

Whether it’s a golden-hour evening at the park, a cozy snuggle on the couch, or a playful backyard adventure, these portraits tell your family’s story just as it is right now — imperfectly perfect. You’ll receive a mix of posed and candid images that capture personalities, relationships, and the genuine emotion that makes your family unique.

My family photography experience is designed to be relaxed and fun for kids (and parents!) alike, so everyone can simply show up and enjoy being together. With access to a beautifully curated online gallery, high-resolution downloads, and full printing rights, you’ll have everything you need to preserve these memories for years to come.

Q&A

  • Typically, newborn sessions with me will take place within the first month after birth. I will come to you, armed with studio lighting and backdrops!

We can set a tentative time frame upon booking — with general days of the week and time frames during those day that you expect to work. Please let me know as far in advance as possible so that I can hold space for you on my calendar! :)

  • Over the years, I have found that 90 minutes seems to be the sweet spot for newborn photography. It’s the perfect balance of enough time to capture a variety of poses and expressions, while also ensuring that the baby remains comfortable.

Newborns have unpredictable schedules. This time frame allows for the baby’s natural needs to be met without rushing things like: frequent feedings, diaper changes and naps. This minimizes stress on both the baby and parents — so you won’t have to feel like you’re racing against the clock if poop (LITERALLY) happens.

This time frame also offers flexibility for breaks to accommodate outfit changes or to comfort the baby if needed.

  • Very detail-oriented.

I love simplistic, macro details of things like the newborn’s hands, feet, ears, etc

I also love incorporating your nursery that you worked SO hard to piece together!

Lastly, I like to make a little time for the parents, siblings and fur babies to get involved too! Whether that means a serene portrait of your heads resting together or the family snuggling on the master bed — we can tailor your poses to fit your vibe.

  • No. For cleanliness, all items are provided by the client. I highly recommend neutral-colored items for a softer, more gentle look.

  • No problem, at all!

I use continuous studio lighting for the softest, most flattering lighting on delicate newborn skin.

I now include studio lighting in all newborn sessions, because I have found that flashes can be irritating to their eyes and startling to a newborn’s sleep.

Continuous lighting ensures that there are no sudden bursts of light, creating a more relaxed and quiet atmosphere for both baby and parents.

  • That’s totally fine! We can still use the lights in the nursery or somewhere else in the home.

I can also use the backdrop fabric without the large stand, in a smaller area of the home.
